Fabric Care Guide
At Nikaa Apparels, we use authentic, breathable cottons that are as delicate as they are beautiful. To ensure your favorites last for years, please follow these care instructions:
1. The First Wash
Gentle Start: For the very first wash, we recommend using a mild soap or a gentle shampoo instead of harsh detergents. This helps preserve the natural fibers and the vibrancy of the colors.
Separate Cycles: Due to the nature of authentic cotton, there may be a mild color discharge for certain colors during the initial washes. Please wash your garment separately for the first two times to prevent any color transfer.
2. Natural Characteristics
Shrinkage: Pure cotton is a living fabric. Our product are pre washed before stitching, so you can experience a minimal to no shrinkage after the first wash; this is a sign of the fabric’s authenticity and will not affect the overall fit if you have followed our size guide.
3. Hand-Crafted Sets
Handle with Care: For sets featuring intricate handwork, embroidery, or embellishments, hand washing is highly preferred. Mild machine wash cycles can be done.
4. Drying & Aftercare
Avoid Direct Sunlight: To prevent colors from fading, always dry your cotton clothes in the shade. protect your prints by keeping them out of direct heat.
Ironing: We recommend ironing on the reverse side while the fabric is slightly damp for a crisp, professional finish.
